ABOUT US

The Sahm Family Foundation was established in 1997 as the philanthropic vehicle of Ramona Sahm and her husband, Roland Sahm. A lover of children and the arts, Ramona was a long-time supporter of such organizations as Voices for Children, the Lux Art Institute, and the San Diego Symphony, while Roland was instrumental in the early days of their local Boys & Girls Clubs. 
The Sahm Family Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. The foundation’s biggest benefactor has been Elixir Industries, the company started by Roland Sahm in 1948.
Today, the Sahm Family Foundation is led by Roland and Ramona’s grandson, Christopher Sahm, who is continuing the family legacy of philanthropy. To date, the foundation has supported dozens of nonprofit organizations and touched several decades of San Diegans.
